Looking back, the only people who have learned any lessons from WWI are the military/industrial complex executives.

They look at the profits made by others and wish it was them. They vowed to never let that happen again. They have been successful beyond their wildest dreams.

We have the world's largest military, who can not defeat peasants. This is because you cannot beat an idea with a gun. Of course, these defense contractors don't care how many American lives are lost in wars they cannot win as long as the profits keep growing.
