It seems that people who call themselves "conservative" are made from the same mold - on both sides of the pond. This may not be true of the average person, but it is certainly true of the political class.

We Americans can match you scandal for scandal, and still, the band plays on. The public continues to vote these people into office, no matter what revelations come to light.

"No one ever went broke under estimating the intelligence of the average American." H.L. Mencken, an American social critic. It would appear this form of blindness infects both of our countries.

Our past "leader, DJT" didn't pay taxes; we have a representative who has completely fabricated his entire life story; police departments who routinely kill our fellow citizens (usually people of color); an oil and gas industry that is killing the planet continues to get Federal subsides and a public consumed by upcoming Super Bowl - forget polical machinations.

We even have our own Royalty - it is called Hollywood.
