Both Biden and Trump are guilty of mishandling secret documents. I have read many times that the number of ecret documents has grown so large as to be impossible to control.

My question, to which I don't think I will ever get an answer to, is, "How serious were these documents?" There have been stories of documents declared Top Secret when the information was widely vailable in the press.

Are there rules concerning the proper handling of these documents and why was even a President allowed to leave his office without some form of tracking these documents.? Like signing out a library book and a time stamp for their return. This way there would be a record of who has what.
